Designed to help you ace the official Nunavut Class 7 Knowledge Exam, our Nunavut Learner’s Practice Test is your number one tool for success. To obtain a Class 7 learner’s licence in Nunavut, you must be at least 15, present valid government-issued identification, pass a vision screening, pass the knowledge test, and, if under 18, provide written parental or guardian consent. You’ll want to pass the exam your first time around since failing requires a retake and a retest fee. Let’s make sure that doesn’t happen!

Some topics that may be tested on the official exam include Nunavut’s licensing requirements, vehicle registration and insurance rules, testing regulations, traffic control measures, and right-of-way laws. There are mandatory equipment and safety belt usage rules, and drivers are expected to be aware of potential penalties for violations, including fines, demerit points, and, in serious cases, suspension of driving privileges, insurance issues, and criminal charges. That’s a lot of material – and it’s just the tip of the iceberg!

Did you know that vehicles must be registered annually under a plate-to-owner system and carry mandatory liability insurance with at least $200,000 in coverage? To be sure of passing the official exam, you should know this. Traffic rules, including speed limits, sign compliance, traffic signals, pavement markings and right-of-way are also a significant part of the official exam. Additionally, vehicles are required to have certain equipment, which is covered in our preparatory practice materials.

You’ll also need to be familiar with Nunavut’s Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) system, applicable to all new drivers, including its requirements and holding periods. The Nunavut Knowledge Exam is made up of two sections, each with 20 multiple-choice questions. You must take the exam at a Nunavut Motor Vehicles Office and correctly answer at least 16 out of 20 questions (80%) on each section to pass. Examiners may offer an oral version of the knowledge test if needed, and an interpreter can be used with examiner approval.

Our Nunavut Learner’s Practice Test is based on the most recent version of the Driver’s Manual and contains 20 multiple-choice questions. An explanation is immediately provided for each response to boost retention and make sure you pass the official exam on your first try.

This Learner’s Practice Test is number three in our five-part collection of practice quizzes. Some of the other practice tests come with added features for our Premium members. Check out all our other Nunavut Knowledge Exam Practice Tests!
