If you wish to get your class 7 learner’s licence in Nunavut, you must be over age 15 and will need to take a written test based on information contained in the 2024 Nunavut Driver’s Manual. The Nunavut written test has two sections: the traffic signs section and the rules of the road section. If you fail one section, you only need to retake that section. In order to take the tests, you need to pay the testing fee of $30.35. There are 20 questions on each test, and you’ll need to answer 16 of them correctly to get the required passing score of 80%. Once you pass the written test as well as a vision test, you can your class 7 licence once you pass the licence fee of $68.48, or if you’re over age 60, you pay $10.30. Once you have had your class 7 licence for long enough and you are over the age of 16, you can upgrade to a class 5 licence as soon as you pass your road test, which also requires paying a road testing fee of $30.30 and a licence upgrade fee of $15.48. If you’re over age 60, you pay $12.48. This Nunavut practice test will help you prepare so that you can hopefully pass your test on the first try.
