You will be required to pass a written test as part of getting your Nunavut class 7 learner’s licence, which is based on information from the 2025 Nunavut Driver’s Manual. You will need to be a minimum of 15 years old to apply for your class 7 licence. The written test focuses on two things: traffic signs and rules of the road, and you must pay the required fee of $30.35 to take it. The tests require an 80% passing ratio, by answering at least 16 of 20 questions correctly. If you fail one part of the test, either the part devoted to traffic signs or the part devoted to rules of the road, you will only have to retake that part. In addition to passing the written test, you also need to pass a vision test, and then you’ll need to pay $68.48 for a class 7 licence that is valid for five years. Once you are 16, you can attempt the road test, which requires paying a fee of $30.30, so that you can upgrade to a class 5 licence. Once you pass it, you can then upgrade to a class 5 licence after paying a fee of $15.48. If you are over the age of 60, there are a difference range of costs, such as $10.30 for a class 7 licence instead of $68.48, and a licence upgrade fee of $12.48, instead of $15.48. This Nunavut practice test will help ensure that you are more likely to pass your written test on the first try, as the practice test features questions based on the same information as the real test.
