The two-part NWT Class 7 Learner’s License practice test has multiple-choice sections on road rules and road signs. To pass this test, you must know the rules, penalties, and safety expectations, especially those related to fines, speed limits, and licence suspensions. Other topics include fines for speeding in construction zones (especially when workers are present). Default speed limits and school and playground zones feature special rules and limits that you must also know to pass the exam. With so much mastery of content needed, our Northwest Territories Driver’s Tests are just what you need to prepare.
A Class 7 learner’s licence in the Northwest Territories requires an applicant to be at least 15 years old, pass a vision screening, submit the Northwest Territories Drivers Medical Examination Report, and pass the Class 7 Knowledge Exam. Additionally, you must present a valid government-issued identification, and if you’re under 18, provide written parental or guardian consent. If you fail the knowledge exam, you will have to wait at least one day and pay to retest. Our Northwest Territories Driver’s Practice Tests are the perfect tool to help you pass the official knowledge exam on your first attempt.
Once you receive a Class 7 Learner’s Licence, you may drive from 6 AM to 11 PM under the supervision of a driver who has been fully licensed for at least two years. These restrictions are part of the Northwest Territories’ three-stage Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) system. All new drivers (including adults) must abide by these GDL levels and their holding periods, including a minimum two-year participation in the program.
The Northwest Territories Knowledge Exam is made up of two 20-question multiple-choice sections, and you are given thirty minutes to complete each part. Additionally, the exam must be taken in person at a Driver and Vehicle office.
Our Northwest Territories Practice Drivers’ Tests are based on the most recent Northwest Territories Driver’s Guide and contain 20 multiple-choice questions. Our practice tests provide immediate explanations for each response, which has been shown to increase retention and speed the learning process.
