Commercial drivers must pass a written exam to be licensed to drive in British Columbia, Canada. The written exam tests the driver’s knowledge of how to operate a commercial vehicle. In British Columbia, the theoretical test will contain 35 questions on braking, vehicle inspection, vehicle cargo load security, vehicle handling, National Safety Code, driver safety, and vehicle safety. The duration of the multiple-choice knowledge test is about 25 minutes. You’ll most likely take the exam on a touch–screen computer terminal. The pass criterion is 80%. This Exam Simulator will quiz you on the General Knowledge part of your official commercial driving licence knowledge exam. It contains 35 random questions and will stop as soon as you’ve reached the passing or failing score. You’ll get a new set of questions every time you restart it. The Exam Simulator is not timed, and you must get at least 80% correct to pass. It is based on the 2025 British Columbia commercial driver’s manual.
