To qualify, you must be at least 18 years old and hold a full Class 5 licence. The Class 4 knowledge test covers elements on passenger management, safety, and transportation of vulnerable populations. The cost is $17 plus GST, and the test, featuring 30 multiple-choice questions, takes place at a Registry Agent office. A pass requires correctly answering at least 25 questions. Starting February 1, 2023, drivers in Alberta no longer need to take an additional road test to obtain a Class 4 licence.
