About Tests.ca
Why we exist
Driving in Canada isn’t a trivia quiz - it’s black ice at dawn, wildlife at dusk and six lanes of rush-hour rain. Yet most prep still hands learners a PDF and says, “Good luck.” We built Tests.ca to change that: turn handbook rules into road-ready instinct so new drivers earn their freedom by deserving it.
How we got here
In 2010 a small team at Elegant E-Learning, Inc. watched friends fail the knowledge test, guess their way through the retake, then white-knuckle their first winter commute. So we rewrote every provincial handbook into plain-English practice questions, layered in hazard-recognition clips and matched the scoring, timing and pressure of the real exam. Word spread—first through high-school teachers, then libraries, then immigrant-support centres. Today more than 6 million Canadians have clicked “Start Test” and swapped nerves for calm confidence.
What makes us different
- Province-perfect content Every question is tied to the exact handbook your examiner uses; updates land on the site within days of a rule change.
- Instant “why” feedback One-line rationales turn every wrong answer into a memory you can trust in traffic.
- Live pass prediction Your dashboard shows - in green - when you’re truly ready, so you walk into DriveTest or SAAQ knowing, not hoping.
Part of a bigger mission
Tests.ca is one spoke in the Elegant E-Learning wheel. Across sites like Driving-Tests.org (USA), TopTests (UK) and G1.ca (Ontario-specific) we’ve helped 46 million+ learners pass their knowledge exams and drive safer from day one. We partner with more than 2,500 libraries, schools and road-safety organizations because safer roads start with better-prepared drivers - every province, every language, every learner.
Where we’re headed
We’ll keep refining questions, adding AI-powered drill lists and filming fresh hazard videos until “first-try pass” is the Canadian norm. If that’s the standard you want for yourself, we’re ready when you are.
